Terms of Service
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using Shoppyti, a seller agrees to these terms. If a seller does not agree, they should not use the service.
2. What Shoppyti does
Shoppyti reads a seller's public Instagram posts through Meta's official APIs, and builds them an online store from their own photos. It gives the seller an app for products, orders and chats. It runs an AI sales assistant, powered by Anthropic's Claude, that replies to buyers on WhatsApp, Instagram and website chat. In future, Shoppyti will also help take orders and payments through the seller's own payment gateway, and ship through the seller's own Shiprocket account.
3. Who can use Shoppyti
A seller must be at least 18 years old, and must have the right to run the business and sell the products shown in their store.
4. Seller responsibilities
- Give correct information about products, prices, sizes and stock.
- Honour the orders a buyer places through the store.
- Follow all laws that apply to their business, including tax and consumer protection law.
- Only use photos and content they have the right to use.
- Keep their own payment gateway and Shiprocket accounts in good standing, and follow those providers' own terms.
- Not use Shoppyti for anything illegal, or to mislead buyers.
5. Buyers
When a buyer places an order, the sale is between the buyer and the seller. Shoppyti is the technology that connects them. We are not a party to that sale.
6. Payments
We never hold a buyer's money. Payments go straight to the seller, through the seller's own payment gateway account (such as CCAvenue, Razorpay or UPI) or other means the seller sets up. Separately, a seller may pay us a subscription or setup fee to use Shoppyti, as shown on our pricing page.
7. Our AI assistant, and its limits
Our AI sales assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude. It replies to buyers automatically, based on the seller's store and products. It can make mistakes, give an incomplete answer, or misunderstand a question. It is not a person, and it is not a substitute for the seller's own judgement. A seller should check important replies, and should not rely on the AI for legal, medical, financial or safety advice. The seller stays responsible for what is promised to a buyer, including through the AI assistant.
8. Fees and changes
We may change our fees or plans from time to time. We will tell sellers before a change that affects them takes effect.
9. Content and ownership
A seller keeps ownership of their photos, captions and other content. By using Shoppyti, the seller allows us to use that content to build and run their store. Shoppyti, our logo, and the Shoppyti name (or whatever name it is later known by) belong to Velosyti Systems Private Limited.
10. Ending the service
A seller can stop using Shoppyti at any time. We may suspend or end a seller's access if they break these terms, or if we stop offering the service. If the service ends, a seller's store may no longer be available.
11. No guarantee, and limit on liability
We provide Shoppyti as it is, without a guarantee that it will always work without error. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit or business. Our total liability to a seller for any claim is limited to the fees that seller paid us in the three months before the claim.
12. Indemnity
A seller agrees to cover our reasonable costs if a claim arises from their products, their content, or their own actions taken through Shoppyti.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction over our registered office: 150A, Kali Amman Koil Street, Virugambakkam, Chennai 600092, Tamil Nadu.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above when we do, and will tell sellers of any significant change.
